I'm guessing you're talking about the ones with a filename ending on ".flac", right? Here's the text that is also available on the server:

In short, FLAC is an audio format like mp3, wav, wma and so on... FLAC is a lossless format like Wav, but also a compresssed format like mp3. The size is larger than mp3, but smaller than wav and with the same quality as wav.

So how do I play this "FLAC-file"?
Your regular player should be able to play it - if not, find a plugin at http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html (bottom of the page)
If you're using Windows media player (lousy program, but that's your choice), you might get a message saying it don't know the file type but can try to play it anyway - just click yes and it plays fine...

More info can be found at http://flac.sourceforge.net/

FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec. Grossly oversimplified, FLAC is similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. This is similar to how Zip works, except with FLAC you will get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio, and you can play back compressed FLAC files in your favorite player (or your car or home stereo, see supported devices) just like you would an MP3 file.
