A great and funny show ;-)!
However, I have to get this of my chest. I adore the band but that cannot change the fact that I got a bit stunned about Jespers comments on the Nørrebro riots ;-(.
He said that it was fine with him that a "few" cars got torched..
Excuse me? WHAAAAAAAAAAT??
Sure, cars are just things but they were completely innocent peoples properties! That's not fine in my book, sorry.
And somehow, I don't think he would feel the same way, if his own car had been torched.
Having said that, I still loved the show overall :-).

Agree with you Lia

Heheh I knew the Ungdomshuset comments would set someone on fire! I love the fact that he dares to speak his mind even though it is gonna make some people on fire (pardon the pun)
Posted: Sun, 2009-02-01 14:24
I love jespers comments! he had so much right!
Posted: Sun, 2009-02-01 15:28
Let me put something straight :-).
I think the whole Ungdomshuset situation was handled all wrong by the Council. So far Jesper and I agree!
But people there are better ways of protesting and if you want the public support and sympathy, you do not go around smashing stores and torching cars!
The shop and car owners are completely innocent members of the public. And it's a horrific lack of respect for other people, in my opinion.
So, Gonzie and VD, you are saying that you would find it okay, if someone torched or smashed your/your parents car as a method of protesting??? I don't think so ;-).
To put a long story short: Jesper and I agree in general but not on the methods of protesting :-).

do not think you already know my political views just because I support freedom of speech
Posted: Sun, 2009-02-01 17:16
But oh how I do love that he stirs things up!
Posted: Sun, 2009-02-01 17:33
VD, I certainly don't pretend to know anything about your political views :D. And my comments are not in any way political but human :-).
I support freedom of speech, too :-). I simply voiced my opinion

It is not okay to burn down cars and ruin stores ect.. I would be pissed of if I had a car which I have saved money up for in a long time, finally bought it and it would be burned down.. But somehow I understand the people who lived in Ungdomshuset.. because no one would listen to them and in my opion you don't kick someone out who's been living there for over 20 years or something like that.. and at least not without finding something else for them (which they also did)..
But when a stupid woman (she is) like Ruth threws out the people of Ungdomshuset, get's the building knocked down because she wanted to built a new one, then suddenly decides that she wants to sell the property instead while the whole situation has been causing so much trouble, then I really get sympathy for the people who once lived there..
Anyway.. D-A-D also went many times at the Ungdomshus, they even played there.. They have a history there too and Stigge were also once one of the (autonome, don't remember the English word).. So I guess that they guys from D-A-D can relate to the people from Ungdomshuset or something like that..
If all that was written up above seems like quite a mess, then it's because it was pretty hard explaining in english what I meant.. ;)

>"And somehow, I don't think he would feel the same way, if his own car had been torched."
No, and that's why he said "It's fine a few cars are burned, as long as it isn't mine."
So typical DAD-ish to say a whole book's worth of wisdom in one sentence
Anyway, I just saw the thing on http://www.dr.dk/dr2/autograf , and I noticed that the speaker-woman on DR2 said something about 70 minutes extra interview would be available on the web.
Am I the only one, who can't find it?
Posted: Sun, 2009-02-01 20:37
Majken.. She said that yes and I haven't been searching for it yet... But it must be there...somewhere
Posted: Sun, 2009-02-01 21:28
No, Majken, you're not the only one :-). I have been searching, too.. And haven't found anything yet :-). But I'm very optimistic ;-). Has to be there somewhere :D!
As for Jesper's comment on the burning cars, I didn't hear him say "as long as it's not mine" :-). Hope, I'm not going deaf ;D
Posted: Sun, 2009-02-01 21:35
Lia, well, that comment was also drowned in applaus from the audience.
But I heard it - I promise
Posted: Sun, 2009-02-01 21:45
Oh, but I already believe you, Majken ;-).
And I will let you know first thing, if I manage to find the uncut interview before you do:-).
Oh and Tina, I completely agree with your comments :-). BTW your English is fine!

nikbif, Great thank you! That was what I was looking for ...
Posted: Mon, 2009-02-02 20:35
Quite funny to look at me because I was sitting with a white paper with my question on, trying to remember the 2 lines I was going to ask, Jesper.. But then when I saw that NO ONE else were standing with a paper in their hands with their question on, I decided NOT to take the paper with me if I were going to ask the question, but just prepare, prepare, prepare to ask
I'm always affraid to mess up and esp live on television but that is just until I'm standing there, then I usually do good (maybe not on TV, but everything else)..
So I have a huge respect for Jesper.. The way he calm and cool answers the questions.. But well, he's been doing that for about 25 years now
And Ølhunden, you're question came through here! Let's hope the reviewers also watch that clip..;-)
Posted: Mon, 2009-02-02 20:40
Ohh is it possible to get those 70 minutes down on dvd, somehow? Anyone know?
Posted: Mon, 2009-02-02 21:37
So, Tina :-). What was your question??
Posted: Tue, 2009-02-03 16:29
Hi netpets: I´ve downloaded the video, but there are just 25´ aprox. Where´s the rest of the footage? Any idea?
Posted: Tue, 2009-02-03 16:33
If anyone/someone can get the 70min off the web, and get them to me in the best quality possible, Ill gladly make a DVD of the show...
Posted: Tue, 2009-02-03 20:48
Lia.. I wanted to tell Jesper and everyone else that I thought that it was great the countries outside Denmark (like Japan) once again shows their interest in D-A-D and ask him if he could reveal some plans for the countries outside Denmark.. like concerts
But Clement, the host was in charge for who got to ask questions and I don't think that he knew what I was going to ask. Because when we were waiting in the audience room, waiting to get in the studio everyone who had questions, their names were called and my name wasn't.. So it was a mistake that my name wasn't there and I got written down...
WIW..... I would like a copy
