Well I would always pick a D-A-D song and nr. 1 would be "Lawrence of Suburbia"... The greatest that they have ever made..

But if I had to pick another then it would be "Living' on the edge" with Aerosmith... I would have said "Thunderstruc" by AC/DC, but the intro is best there... and the rest is well la la...

Too many great rocksongs have been made through the years (Mainly from mid 70's and forth), so I can't put my finger on a single song. Sorry

WOW that is a hard one. Hammer how about F.L.A.B. from W.A.S.P. I like them too. In my opinion I think you would change your mind about that from day to day. Today and for some time I would choose Evereything Glows as the Ultimate rock song. But don't forget

There are so many that you simply can't chose.
But i think Sleeping my day away, jihad, overmuch and I wont cut my hair is some of the best ever made.
I also like AC/DC's back in black, thunderstruck, TNT and it's a long way to the top. They are also some of my favourites.

By the way, then I also think that Kiss has some great great rocksongs like "God gave rock 'n' roll to you" and I've heard that this song is a cover version, is that right???

to Tina : I love that song and here is a little info :

"God Gave Rock 'N' Roll To You II" is a song by the American hard rock band Kiss. It was released on their 1992 album Revenge and as a single in 1991. It was featured on the soundtrack to the movie Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.

The song was a reworking of the Argent song "God Gave Rock and Roll To You" and is credited as being written by Russ Ballard, Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and Bob Ezrin.

It was the last Kiss song to feature long time drummer Eric Carr before his death in 1991. Although he was too ill to play drums on the track, he is featured on backing vocals during the a cappella break, singing the repeated line "...to everyone, he gave his song to be sung", as well as performing drums during the video for the song.

The video was filmed in Los Angeles, California in July of 1991 and was directed by Mark Rezyka.[1] It features the band playing in a room with flashbacks of Simmons and Stanley during the make-up era of Kiss's heyday. Interestingly, there were no prominent clips of Carr during the make-up years featured in the video, even though he was a part of that era for three and a half years.

The song proved to be a big hit for the band in several parts of the world, including making the Top Ten in the United Kingdom and Germany. Despite the song's success in those countries, it failed to chart in the United States.[2]
