Well, your thread title says it all: "DREAMsetlist" and I guess that's what it will remain.

I had the same thought before the first show and I really believed that the band would dig out some old gems. Unfortunately we got the same setlist as always plus half a dozen new songs.............everything as expected.

Don't get me wrong, the concerts were really good and I'm looking forward to the last one (for us) in Kerkrade but the setlist for this tour was indeed a bit disappointing.......as I said before, I think the band really missed out a chance to play a tour for the history books.

I totally agree with my husband smiley

It would have been amazing to hear some other songs on the tour so far - OMG, they have an amazing back catalogue.

I think there are 3 types of people at gigs;

A) The die-hard fans

B) The people who know a few songs and the well known hits

C) People who don't really know the band but have come for a good night out

I have been in the audience for many, many bands as an A, B & C.

(Stay with me folks, I'm getting to the point!!smiley

Why play to the B & C, when you can play to the A?

If the band is as good as DAD, and you don't know any of the songs, you will still go and buy the albums.

It doesn't make any difference what songs the band play, they're all new to you.

But! If you KNOW the band is good, you want to hear SOME songs that they don't normally play.

I wanna hear;

Money
Call Of The Wild
Between You And Me
Lords Of The Atlas
Lawrence
Are We Alive Here
So What
You Won't Change

*sigh*

It ain't gonna happen, I know.

I just don't understand why the band aren't beyond bored playing the same songs....

RANT OVER!! smiley

Think bigger.

They should do a tour with songs without the 20-25 most played songs on previous tours.

A sort of top 25-40 songs tour.
2 gigs Denmark, 2 gigs Germany, 1 Sweden, 1 Finland.

I personally do not agree, with the post saying they should not play "their greatest hits".. When i enter a Concert, i wanna hear, the best songs.. I know it could be funny sometimes to hear, a rare livesong, but with their back catalogue, they surely can fill a setlist, and make both wishes come true..

My "I-will-definitely-kill-to-see-that-show" setlist is:

1. Cloudy hours
2. Naked but still..
3. Jihad
4. ZCMI
5. chainsaw
6. Jackie ‘O
7. Reconstrucdead
8. Everything Glows
9. Sue..
10. is'nt that wild
11. Laugh ‘n’ a ½
12. True believer
13. Lawrence of suburbia
14. Scare yourself
15. I want what she’s got
16. Camping..
17. EG
18. Sleeping my day away
19. Bad craziness
------------------------
20. No one answer
21. Gods favorite
22. I won’t cut my hair
-----------------------
23. Grow or pay
24. It’s after dark

#Toksvig: You wanna hear Everything Glows two times in one concert? Isn't that stretching it a little ;)

Cloudy Hours and then I don't care if the remaining 90+ minutes consist mostly of Jesper talking to the audience.

smiley

EDIT: Last time they played Cloudy Hours, was that the DR Christmas Special?

Cloudy Hours would be fantastic! - I only heard it once live with Lords of the Atlas (a song I would like to hear too) in Silkeborg, and they did really well! - I would miss Beautiful Together and Monster if they were taken off the list, and I would add Breaking Them Heart by Heart to the previous suggestions - and God's Favourite is absolutely OK! smiley

Well this kinda shows what many of the hard core fans would like to hear. I think there alot of songs that are the same from list to list, amongst many of them, their greatest hits. But I can only agree with Longhorn. 2 surprise is defintly at the low end. GF is a def. surprise and I'm looking much forward to that one, but LOTA they played several times over the past years. But in relation to Curlygirls A, B, C I don't think you can just put it that simple. If ½ the crow don't know ½ the songs, well the crow ain't going crazy and we'd end up with "foot-rocking and clapping" concerts and come on, how lame would that be.. I've been to some "tough crowd" concerts and it's def. more fun when the entire venue is rocking wild whether it's 500 or 10.000 in Forum. What we need is more Net Pet Concert or concerts like the DR concert, where the crowd decided what to be played.

If you want to be missed - then go away...
